I do not pray to the vengeful God Of an old man's book that we keep Out of habit, and ceremony, turning to words Written for a world that has died.
I pray to a God of love who touches Those who have broken my spirit, Not with pain and vindictive rage, But with knowledge of what they have do
ColdThe cold is seeping into my pale bones. And looks to slip beneath my clothes to drink all warmth from skin, to freeze the web of veins that moves the life from heart to mind to arms.Cold
I feel the ice collecting on my mouth, an open serching mouth that reaches with heart and lungs and soul for someone I can grasp and ease the ache that grows into my bones.
I fear this frigid ice will coat, like frost, my body and will make my home in snow and cold. And where, with time, will make me more like winter's breath, at ease here all alone.
